Contract Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

💷 Rate: Up to £40 per hour
📅 Contract: Until the end of the year, with potential to extend
🕙 Shift: Permanent Nights – Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a busy food manufacturing site in the DE55 area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance engineer looking for a long-term contract, with the potential for an extension beyond the initial end-of-year period.
The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the production facility
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Minimise machinery downtime and ensure equipment is operating efficiently
- Complete preventative maintenance and fault-finding activities
- Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate:
- Time-served or suitably qualified Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
- Able to start at short notice
- Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
What’s on Offer:
- Up to £40 per hour
- Contract initially running until the end of 2026

- Permanent night shift pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm-6am
