Senior Tooling Design Engineer
Location: Worcester
Type: Permanent, Full-Time | On-site
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tooling Design Engineer to join an established engineering business in Worcester, working on complex tooling for aerospace and industrial applications.
You will take tooling projects from initial concept through detailed design, manufacture, assembly and testing.
Key responsibilities:
- Design complex tooling, dies, moulds and associated components
- Produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Develop designs with manufacturing, machining and assembly in mind
- Work closely with toolmakers, CNC programmers and production teams
- Support tooling manufacture, trials and problem-solving
- Improve existing tooling designs and contribute to continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience designing moulds, dies or complex production tooling
- Strong 3D CAD experience
- Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, toolmaking and assembly
- Experience with technical drawings, tolerances and fits
- A practical, hands-on approach to design and problem-solving.
