Through Lei Hopwood’s previous work with us, CV Technical had an internal reference to join the national PSL in early 2020. The first requisition order issued to CV Technical, Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Dunoon, had been live with other recruiters for 300+ Days. Most of these suppliers stopped submitting candidates after one or two unsuccessful submissions. CV Technical submitted two candidates within 24 hours of receiving the requisition, with first stage interviews booked shortly afterwards. One candidate was then progressed to second stage and ultimately offered the position within 10 days of the requisition being issued to CV Technical.
Our existing PSL had struggled to find a suitable EH&S Lead for a number of weeks and things were becoming urgent. Lei Hopwood approached the internal team with a challenge, stating that he would have an offer on the position within 30 days, the challenge was accepted and temporary terms of business were drafted. We then set up a call with the internal recruitment team and the site manager with Lei for a full briefing. Lei asked questions around some of the finer details of the role and person specification and 2 CV’s were submitted very quickly. These were unsuitable, Lei had a quick conversation with the site manager and immediately refined his search and submitted 3 CV’s all of which were invited to interview. One failed the online test portion of the process, one failed the first stage interview, but only because the 3rd candidate was ideal. They progressed through the other 2 stages of the interview process and continually impressed throughout and have since been offered the position. CV Technical have been formally added to the national PSL and Lei continues to provide world class service and a high standard of candidate.
Lei Hopwood has worked with us since 2014 with some of his previous employers. In 2021 we made the decision to formalise a PSL and as Lei had a number of referrals from hiring managers CV Technical were invited to tender and were added to the vendor list. CV Technical has kept in touch with the Recruitment Advisor monthly through various direct sourcing campaigns and have patiently followed the processes as outlined in the agreement (regarding speculative CV’s and contacting hiring managers). The first role given the Lei was a Mechanical Team Leader based in Carnforth, a known problem area for this skill set. Lei was briefed on the position on the 4th of June and following receipt of 2 excellent CV’s offer paperwork was sent out on the 2nd of July and has since been accepted. Lei maintained excellent communication throughout the process and didn’t harass the Recruitment Advisor, who could be delayed in their responses. Overall it was a very swift, professional and effective process.
We approached CV Technical initially as the current vendors were struggling to fill some maintenance roles. Since first contacting CV Technical in November 2020, 8 Maintenance Engineers, 1 Project Manager, multiple Process Engineers and Graduate Engineers have all started following in depth two stage interview process. There has only been 1 maintenance role filled through another agency and the candidate left within the first 12 weeks and was subsequently refilled by CV Technical.
We started working with CV Technical in mid 2019, having not worked with them before they were given the opportunity to prove themselves. Tom was in contact with the Engineering Manager from Birmingham eager to work on a Maintenance Engineer vacancy which the current recruitment partners were struggling to fill. Given this was an urgent position CV Technical were given the go ahead and work on this one vacancy and Johnson’s would then review how they did once the vacancy was filled. Within a week CV Technical had 3 interviews on the position, all turned up and subsequently one of the candidates was offered the position and started the following Monday. Since then CV Technical have done nothing but impress, filling positions in a variety of departments at all of Johnson’s sites up and down the country. Not only do they fill positions but they are extremely professional, hardworking and honest throughout the whole recruitment process. We can't ask for much more from a recruitment partner and they are arguably the best company I have worked with to date. Now when wanting to fill a position it goes straight to CV Technical and gets a first class service and only the best candidates through the door.
We were hiring for 2 Electrical Engineers at the start of 2021, Jordan called up and asked if he could help with the role, he clearly explained how their thorough recruitment process works and explained that maintenance was his core market. They sent over 7/8 CV’s, 5 of which got interviews. One candidate started straight away and the other candidate had a 1 month notice. CV Technical kept up-to-date with this candidates until they started to make sure there were no unpleasant surprises on the candidates first day. They had filled both roles and candidates were in their new roles with us within 7 weeks.
